Pulse of Light
Sep 13, 2025

Pulse of Light is an immersive light sculpture that responds to human presence through subtle shifts in proximity and breath. Using ultrasonic sensing, responsive illumination, and sculptural glass forms, the installation transforms the nearness of the viewer into cascading waves of light—revealing the quiet intelligence held within moments of attention and stillness.
Concept
Exploring the dialogue between presence and perception, Pulse of Light transforms the viewer’s simple act of approaching into a meditative exchange with the sculpture. As the body draws nearer, the work interprets small physical cues—hand-heart distance, breath, and micro-movement—into evolving fields of illumination that ripple across its surface.
Rather than reading biometric data, the sculpture listens to the subtle rhythms of closeness and space, becoming a living interface between the individual and shared consciousness. In this encounter, technology is reframed as a gentle mediator: amplifying awareness, softening attention, and inviting the viewer into an experience of embodied connection.
